Error keeps raising through exception handler...

I use the thttp component from Delphi 4.

I want to be able to stop the component from continuing its work by
using http.cancel or http.abort. When stopped that way, an error
exception is raised. I don't need to manage this error, and I don't want
it to show though to the user.

So I used a try..except on [myerror] do [nothing] end; but it doesn't
work. The error keeps raising through my handler and shows to the
end-user interface.

BTW, I understand that some exceptions show through when running under
Delphi but not when runned alone (in the real world). But the same
problem happens in either way...

What am I doing wrong or why does the exception show through? Is it a
bug in the component? In Delphi exception handling?

Thanks,

Louis Pelletier, Qubec

PS. Resolving this problem is very important for me now, since I wan't
to use this kind of procedure quite often.
