A couple of years ago I spent a lot of time trying to use the Delphi 1 TOutline for multi-select with drag and drop of outline items. The result was that I abandoned the effort. This component is slow and troublesome. It has at least one known bug (I can send you info on the bug if you wish). Sorry to be so discouraging. If you don't need to collapse nodes (and if you're looking at TOutline you probably DO...) I suggest using a TListbox descendent which accepts tabs to indent items as in TOutline. I have code from David Baldwin which does this if you want it. Then you can set MultiSelect and ExtendedSelect as you wish. To take this idea a little further, to allow nodes to collapse you could perhaps make the items OwnerDraw and use the Items.Object property to hold information about whether the node is hidden so as not to draw it when its parent is "collapsed." Good luck, Brian Lowe Beond Technology Corp. dsease@freeside.scsd.k12.ny.us wrote: > > I realy need to select more then one item in my Outline. > if anyone can put me on the right track TIA. > > darin
