Hi I'm trying to reach MS-Access OLE fields through the BDE using Delphi 3 C/S . This simply doesn't work. Has anyone ever succeeded implementing such a connection ? Thanks, Amit

Frustrating what? It's even worse when you finally manage to place bitmap into a blob field and then attempt to open the table with ACCESS. Falls over real good...... Anyway, back on track- try OPUS's dbOLE VCL. It's in beta but seems to work very much the wau OLE fields work in ACCESS. Hi, I also have problems with accessing Access97 BLOB fields from Delphi 3. I use Delphi 3.00, BDE 3.51, Access 97 tables. I used Access 97 to insert a 8bit BMP RGB Encoded BMP into the blobfield because i didn't know how to do it in delphi. But when I am scrolling through the records and I come across the record with the bitmap, Delphi gives an error 'Bitmap image is not valid'. When I doubleclick in the BLOB field in Access the bitmap is displayed in the Image Editor correctly! I use an DBImage to display the BLOB from Delphi. When I use a Paradox table it works! Are BLOB fields in Access97 or Access 95 supported by the BDE 3.51??? Greetings Jan Oonk

Have you try upgrading to BDE 4.51 (available on Borland's web site), which provides direct support for Access97? Good luck.
