Hi folks, I have found some bug in BDE. I wrote SQL as this select var1, var1_min, var1_max from VARIATION where var1="1" and (var1_min = "" or var1_max="") When I wrote statement without 'OR' I get CanModify = True (live result set.) When I wrote statement with 'OR' the CanModify was False (read only result set) In help was written that I can use AND , OR I'm using now D1 and BDE 2.5 Does anybody know what I have to do to get Live result set with 'OR' in statement? Thank a lot Petr

You should probably get the free upgrade to BDE 2.52, just in case it helps; it does have some improved SQL support, and includes a help file that explains the changes and improvements. It still won't support all SQL statements that it should, though. -- ============================================================ Rick Carter carterrk@email.uc.edu rcarter@tso.cin.ix.net ============================================================
