I have upgraded to v5 Pro from v3 Std.
I have an application built so far -
Master/Detail form, with a lookup to a third table as a field in the
detail table.
This runs fine in v3, but if the same project is run in v5, there is a
problem.
In V5:
If the lookup field already has an entry, when the drop-down box
appears, the detail table
jumps out of edit mode, and so does not accept the new chosen item.
If the lookup field is empty, the drop-down box appears fine, edit mode
still active,
but on choosing an item with the mouse, or moving the highlight down
with the arrow keys,
an error is invoked : "List index out of bounds(1)".
In V3:
If the detail table is in edit mode, + lookup field is empty, the
drop-down + choose + continue works great.
If the lookup is not in edit mode, the drop-down still works, and when
an item is chosen,
it is entered, focus passes to the next column, and the table enters
edit mode.
Has anyone encountered this sort of behaviour before???
I can live with it by compiling this part of the application (Data
entry)
as a separate program, but it does seem kinda STUPID!!!
Thanks for any help.
