Win95 (or BDE) removes my network drives!

4 Clients, Win 95
Software: Delphi 1.0 App with BDE 2.51
Paradox database
I have a severe problem, where during a windows session
either Win 95 or BDE removes all network drives, i.e.
they are no more visible in the windows explorer.
Unfortunately one network drive (S:) is connected to the server,
where the database resides., so when my db-app tries to (re-)connect
to the mapped drive, I get an error telling the drive is not ready.
Furthermore this error does only occur on one specific client.
Are there cable problems?
Do they automatically cause Win 95 to remove network drives?
TIA,
Arne

I am not sure if BDE really removes a network drive. But it seems to make more sense by playing safe, by using the full path of your network drive, eg, \\computer4\DBdir\ as the Alias. That is what I do.
