In article <1003136492.308125@drp.csir.co.za>, Us Rebel Girl <hobyah2000za@yahoo.com> writes >I've been programming in Delphi for a few years now, but always with a >jump-in-feet-first approach. Can anyone please recommend a book or web site >which explains in some detail how to plan a programming project. > >Since it's not really Delphi-related, you can email me (or reply to the ng - >whatever). > >Thanks >email: hobyah2000za@yahoo.com > > Two excellent books (more knowledgeable people might disagree, but both of these have been recommended on this ng before): 1. Software project Survival Guide ISBN 1-57231-621-7 by Steve McConnell (16.95). 2. Rapid Development again by Steve McConnell (22.95). Both are well worth investing in - and will give you what you need as well as explaining it clearly. They really helped me sort out a lot of problems as a non professional programmer. He also has a site at construx.com. Liam Healy
