the program compiles to an exe but won't go to debug mode

Rebuild (not recompile) the project with all of the debugging options
checked.

thanks but i found the problem
had to copy files from backup cd a few days ago then did attrib -r but
apparently some files were also tagged hidden once i cleared that all
is good
