TOleContainer problem

We are experiencing a problem with the TOleContainer component:

If we have
an application running showing an active Ole Container (linked to
MS-Word)
and also have an instance of MS-Word running, the MS-Word
window will not
receive keystrokes or mouse clicks.

I raised it with Borland support but
they could not resolve it. Their original reply
was:

>this behavior is as
expected.
>If you call doVerb(ovShow) then some messages from Word (or Excel)
will be
>redirected, e.g. WM_MOUSEDOWN or WM_KEYDOWN, and will be
>processed by the main or calling Delphi application. So these messages will
>never reach Word.
>Whenever you call the above function you have either an
instance of Word
>which does not react on mouseclicks or you have a Delphi
application which
>does not react (this will happen if you call doVerb
before starting Word).
>Unfortunately there's no way to get around this, you
have to call
>OleContainer1.Close to disable the "Word's InPlace visibility"
- after calling
>close you will have full access to Word again.

We asked
them to look at it again which they have done but they could not
find a
solution or work-around.

If you try to embed OLE objects in MS-Word or
MS-Excel it works. MS Visual
C++ comes with a sample application that works.
Delphi doesn't !!!

We are using Delphi v3.01 and MS-Word 97.

Can anybody
please help?

I have tried to find a 3rd party Ole Container object without
success. Does
anybody know of one?
