Not everyone reads news online one message at a time. I download all new 
messages in this group (clpb) for offline reading each time I log on. Yes, 
I could set up a filter to kill all messages over a certain size, but I 
shouldn't have to. The policy of Usenet is to not post encoded binaries, or 
even excessively long source code listings, to a discussion group such as 
this one. For more information on this, please read the messages in 
news.answers relevant to netiquette. You can also find info in the FAQs for

In the future, it would be better for you to post a pointer to a file on a 
webpage or FTP site. This way you can still be helpful, and not clog up the 
newsgroup or newsservers. When you send something to a newsgroup, you are 
effectively copying it to thousands of hard drives all over the world. Just 
think of how much space that 4992 line 369056 byte post is taking up on all 
of those disks, and compare it to the relatively small number of people who 
actually want it. I hope you'll consider this and not do it again.
