ALICE has been up free for a while, go to:

	http://www.templetons.com/brad/alice.html

(Alice was my Pascal learning environment and nifty integrated
development environment) from the mid-80s. To my pride and
surprise, even though it's 15 years old, it still has many
features and abilities that cause people to use it, particularly
to teach, even today.

Anyway, since people were still interested, I pulled out the source, and
even though I hadn't compiled it since about 1988 on a very different
platform, I was able to get it to compile and run on Linux (Red Hat6.1)
and it probably can be made to run on most modern Unix systems.

So I've put that source up for free. There's a link on that web page.
It's still a bit dirty, still a few bugs to iron out. Not by any
stretch a clean "type make install" setup. But for those who might
want to play with it, or see the insides of a syntax directed editor,
a Pascal parser or a very fast interpreter work, feel free to try it out.
I've put it under Perl artistic licence.

If somebody is interested in performing further cleanup, making an RPM,
getting the MS-DOS source or even the Atari ST source (which was a GUI
version, most suitable for modern porting) they can let me know. If
you're writing a Pascal processor or interpreter, the "apin" parser, also
included, turns Standard and Turbo Pascal into syntax trees. Lots of
other useful code in there as well. Have fun.
