Really so humanity is in still in it's kill everyone phase. Interesting since
Communism collapsed, and recently there have been more movements toward peace
instead of war. For instance NATO is now getting more countries from the
Eastern Block to sign up. China just recently had a visit from President
Clinton. The only threats to peace now (aside from terrorists, etc.) is the
Pakistan vs. India showdown (both countries with nukes who dislike each other)
and the conflict of China vs. Taiwan (China says it's a rebel district of China
and Taiwan says it is it's own nation.). Anything I miss? Oh as for the Hitler
Story, well power is what you make of it. One can use it for bad things and
another can use it for good things. You see you keep talking about Genetic
technology (specifically cloning) is such a deadly power, what about nuclear
power?? I mean Nuclear technology can be devastating. Hiroshima and Nagasaki,
remember the Manhattan Project?? And where are we today? With NUCLEAR reactors
powering our cities. So homecome we can't say the same about genetic
technology. Maybe 50 years from now, genetics is used everyday to SAVE people
from all kinds of problems. Burn victims, victims of ogran failure, victims of
chronic illnesses could be saved and restored to tip top condition. So instead
of being so negative try to lighten up. There are several good reasons why
genetic technology should be developed more.
