The new NeXT Color Printer (from Canon) is a 360-dpi inkjet printer, and
it's great.

The amazing thing about this printer is that it uses the NeXT for the RIP,
so it's cheap ($3,500). You only need a black-and-white NeXT to drive it,
too ($4,995). Total price is about $8,000, and you get:

	* 11 x 17 output
	* Four-color inkjet printing
	* Canon marking engine
	* Full Adobe Level II PostScript interpreter
	* 68040 processor, 100Mb disk drive, 8Mb memory
	* Incredibly upgradeable (just upgrade the NeXT!)
	* Ethernet TCP/IP and Ethertalk compatibility
	* It has a keyboard, a mouse, and a monitor :-)
	* You can send Email from it, compile programs; it's a computer!
	* Can act as an AppleShare file server for your Mac network
	* Has built-in Preview application for PostScript files
	* Full print-spooling built in (it's a UNIX computer)
	* Can install Adobe fonts right onto the disk
	* Etc.

This alone is reason enough to buy a NeXT, in my opinion. Joe-Bob says
"check it out". (Call NeXT at 800-848-NEXT).

Slight disclaimer: we're NeXT developers, but that doesn't change what
a great printer this is.
