Printer/Viewer Discrepancy

I'm working on a postscript program to print large characters
with letters along their outlines. I translate, rotate, scale,
set the font, then start the new path like this:

4.25 inch 1 inch translate
90 rotate
0.6 0.6 scale
BigFont setfont % about 400 point before scaling
newpath
  0 0 moveto
  (D) true charpath
SmallFont setfont	% about 15 point before scaling
(testing testing testing testing testing testing) 0 0 pathshow

The result should look something like:

gni
   t
    s
     e
     t

     g
     n
    i
test

etc., except that the letters rotate to be parallel to the outline.

The font I'm using is Times-Bold which is standard for the
dxpsview and LaserWriter that I use. The problem is that
in dxpsview, everything prints fine, but when I send it to the
printer all I get is the cover sheet that specifies which
user tried to print something.

"pathshow" works in dxpsview AND the printer for paths other
than those specified by characters. It also works on a
ghostview displayer that I have access to.

Any ideas as to where I could look for things that would
cause the printer to fail? I was thinking that perhaps
Times-Bold *was* an outline font in dxpsview, but not
the LaserWriter, but I kind of doubt that.

Pleeeeeez help,
gReg
