Generating AFM files

Are there any utilities (public domain or commercial) to generate
Adobe Font Metric files from home-grown (but well-behaved) Type 3
PostScript fonts? Please provide details. FTPable would be great.

One of our users created a couple of barcode/posnet fonts.
We can download them to the printers or printers' disks and use
it as any other Postscript font. Now, we need the AFM metrics so
that they can be used by various document composition software.

We would prefer to be able to run the program(s) on MS-DOS, but
we do have access to IBM VM/CMS, Unix and MACs as well.
Come to think of it, would Coreldraw 2.01 on the PC generate an
AFM file or another metric format file that could then be converted
to AFM?

Thanks for your help!
