Does anyone know of a way to convert a .ps file into any form of  bitmap for editing?
I have tried ghostscript and its pstopbm filter, but to no avail.

Any help on the matter would be much appreciated, and I'd appreciate it if you email me at chem193@csc.canterbury.ac.nz as I don't always read this group.
