I have recently setup our Sun SPARCStation IPC as a print server to our PC's via PC-NFS v3.5b with a HP LaserJet IIIP. However, the printer is not postscript compatible and only recognises HP-PCL/HPGL formatted print files. I was wondering if anyone knows of any (freely available) Sun based software which will act as a driver for the printer such that incoming print jobs will be formatted in PCL or HPGL. I am aware of Sun's NeWSPrint software which performs a similar job...I guess I'm looking for a freely available equivalent. All replies appreciated. Thanks in advance.....
