Use the reencoding procedure described on page 207 of Adobe's 
"PostScript language tutorial and cookbook" (blue book), 
call /Courier /Courier-Latin-1 ISO-Latin-1 ReEncode ,
use /Courier-Latin-1 instead of /Courier ,
and transform every input character with 8th bit set into 
its octal representation preceded by a backslash.

The code vector for Latin-1 is attached below. For the MSDOS version, 
you will have to adapt it to the PC character set. For the Windows 3.1 "ANSI" 
character set, you will have to extend Latin-1 in the positions between 200 
and 240 (octal) appropriately.
