You can use almost any PostScript Type1 fonts in GhostScript, but
Courier and Utopia is the only "free" original Type1 fonts avaliable.
The Courier and Utopia fonts is donated to MIT X Consortium by IBM and Adobe.

Is you have an IBM-RS6000 with AIX3.2, you find a collection of Adobe
original Type1 fonts in the directory /usr/lpp/DPS/fonts/outlines.
Modify the /usr/local/lib/ghostscript/Fontmap file to use these fonts.
I don't think it is legal to make copies of these fonts, but since you
already have paid a license for AIX, it should be legal to use them as-is.

You can also get a big collection of fonts from ftp.cica.indiana.edu
in the directory /pub/pc/win3/fonts/atm. You need an unzip program
to extract the .pfb files from the .zip files located there.

The last overview shows that there is 411 Public Domain Type1 PostScript
fonts available, not all of them is of good quality, but enough for
anyone to get a real font-orgasm....
