postscript on IBM4019 ?

#2144

In our selection of a postscript printer for our group
we are strongly attracted to the IBM 4019 printer with postscript
option, not in the last place due to its low cost of consumables.

However from the documentation we cannot obtain any clue with
respect to the speed of the postscript interpreter.
Can anybody give some hints on this speed, either by comparison
relative to other printers (Apple, QMS), or by data on its
interpreter hardware (cpu-type, clockspeed, waitstates)?

ps: The documentation states 10 pages/min, but this is for the
print engine itself, which is not what I try to find out.

Thanks in advance,
