I've recently discovered output from Uniplex that attempts to specify a new encoding vector including the 'brokenbar' character? The standard vector in the red book doesn't include this character -- is it in any way "standard"? I've had a report that [at least some] Apple printers include the character, and the Ghostscript fonts do, but our QMS printers don't, with the result that | doesn't show up when printed on them. Hacking the mapping to 'bar' instead of 'brokenbar' allows the file to print, but I'd like to know who to assign blame -- Uniplex or QMS? -- ======================================================================8--<
