What is the difference between a PostScript file and an
Encapsulated PostScript file? I have a PostScript file
created on a Mac, apparently using Adobe Illustrator. I
transfered the file over to a Sun and included it in a
Latex document via the \special{} command. The file
contains a graphic image. I run dvi2ps on the .dvi file
Latex creates, and the Sun Pageview program displays the
graphic image correctly. However, the printer will not
print the graphic at all (it just leaves a blank and
produces no error messages). I'm thinking it might be
because of where the image came from (i.e. Mac) and therefore
needs some extra proc sets added. This is really puzzling,
and any insight would be appreciated.
