Hi, Were looking for somthing that will let us admin. the usage of our LaserJet III Si. In the past, as i understand, "pagecount" was used to return the value of the pagecounter. I tried it in our printer software and it does work. There is however one problem. Our LaserJet is now addressed via tcp/ip. This lets us send large postscript files to the printer and then the "pagecount" command even before the first page is printed of the previous large file. This problem does not appear when one is using a serial interface. What I need, I think, is a question like "pagecount" which I can send to the printer and which tells me if a job is still being processed. Is there any such command, or is there another way to solve the admin. problem. (I.e. a program that determines the number of pages in a any given PS-file) Any help appreciated.
