The following program draws a "donut" on the page, i.e., two circles with the space between them filled in. It does this by drawing one circle with "arc" and the other with "arcn". Using Ghostview (sorry, don't know which version number) I get a donut with a hole, just as I expected. On a Laserwriter II all I get is a solid filled circle (a donut with no hole). ----cut here---- %! %%EndComments /InRadius 20 def /OutRadius 40 def 300 600 translate newpath 0 0 OutRadius 0 360 arc % outer circle InRadius 0 moveto % put the current point on the inner circle 0 0 InRadius 0 360 arcn % draw inner circle in the *opposite* direction fill % fill to get a donut showpage ----cut here---- Can anybody provide any insight into why I am getting different output on Ghostview compared to a Laserwriter?
