I don't know much about postscript and am trying to gather some information before starting this project. I need to preslug NCS scanner forms with students social security numbers. The forms will then be read by an OPscan reader. I plan to use a DEC LPS20 to do the printing. (I'm not even sure if the scanner will read the marks made by the printer.) My main concern is how I tell the printer to print a dot on a specific part of the page, so it will cover the circle on the NCS form. Do I need to get some books on postcript and learn to program it, or is there some program which I can use to produce the correct postscript code? Please respond via email, as I am not a regular reader of this group. Thanks in advance. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Ellen Davis Ellen.Davis@UC.Edu | | Phone: (513) 556-5681 | | University of Cincinnati Computing Center edavis@ucunix.san.uc.edu | | B3 Beecher Hall ML. 088 edavis@ucbeh.bitnet | | Cincinnati, Ohio 45221 ucbeh::edavis | -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
