I'm at home, so I don't have a copy of the book handy.  _Envisioning
Information_ was written by Edward Tufte, who's best known for his earlier
book, _The Visual Display of Quantitative Information_.  VDQI was
written up extremely favorably in a wide variety of desktop publishing
and general computer magazines for the way it describes how complex 
information could be described using charts, and how charts could also
make simple information look complex.  

I haven't really looked at EI, so I'm not going to be able to help you
much on the contents.  When I glanced at it, it seemed to pick up where
the earlier book left off.

The ISBN is 0-9613921-1-8, it's a hardcover, and it lists for $48.  The
publisher is Graphics Press.
