I have tried to reply to you all by email but in one case it bounced (sorry Andrea). To summarise the responses so far:- setpageparams is often implemented on typesetters, but is not part of standard PostScript. It may therefore vary and should be treated with caution. It is used to tell the RIP how big the page is, and how to position it on the film. The syntax is:- statusdict begin width height margin orientation setpageparams end Width and height are the size in points, width being in the fast scan direction and height in the slow scan direction. Margin is the distance in points from the start of the fast scan to the start of the imageable area. Orientation of 0 means the X axis is oriented along the slow scan direction, and 1 means the X axis is oriented along the fast scan direction. (Note that width and height are relative to the scan directions, not the axes) I understand that there is also a command "currentpageparams" which puts the current four values onto the stack in the same order. -- Steve -- Steve Hunt steve@acorn.co.uk
