🚀 go-pugleaf

I'm experiencing problems printing to a LWIIg printer connected 
serially to a Sun Sparc.  Other LWIIg's i've hooked up have not 
had this problem.  

We're using Transcript software, currently version 3.0.

What would you assume about an Apple LaserWriter IIg w/ 2M
of memory that prints one page of "man -t xfig" (a 10-page manual) then barfs with an error (from the log):

hooked onto /dev/ttyb.  9600 baud.  Same TranScript installation
that is on other sparcs with LWIIg hooked serially which works.
 
could this a problem with ROM set 1.0?  How do i find out what
ROM version is in this puppy?  

Also, i'm using a printer description file called APLWIIg.  should
i be using a different one?
