A couple of days ago I asked about putting an HP LaserJet IID into duplex
mode.

A number of people pointed out that an "end" statement after the above 
commands may help.  Thanks to all who replied.  As it turns out I will
probably never know for sure.  As Leif Arne Neset pointed out, evidently 
both pages of a duplex page must be in memory before the sheet can be 
printed.  Upon closer examination of the HP documentation I found a table
which stated that duplex printing *requires* 4MB of additional add in memory.
Alas, we only have 2 MB in this printer.  Rather than print them out in
in non-duplex, it just pukes on the whole print job.  Lots of pretty blinking
lights but that's about it.
