printing on bitmaps

I am trying to download a bitmap to a PS printer, followed by postscript
text. I would like to print this combination then somehow keep the
bitmap image in the printer and download another set of text. This is
like having a blank form loaded into the printer to remain there for
each page while I print different versions of text on top.

Can anyone out there give me some hints? I have the Adobe books but
have not been able to find what I need to do this.

Thanks in advance for any help.
