This is my postscript type-1 font accent making package.

The problem with the composite character of Adobe type 1 fonts, is
that you cannot create your own, but can only use those provided by
the font maker. With this package, you can create your own composite
characters.
It unpacks a Adobe Type 1 font, and assembles the font again,
with new composite characters.

This package is just quickly assembled from the different programs.
There is no manual pages, or any description whatsoever, except for
this file.

Everything, except for parseAFM.* is written by me.

To try it, check out the fixit shell script. It runs all programs in
sequence. You need postscript PFB files for input.

Very short description:
fixcomp - Adds data for accented characters to the afm file
decrypt - decrypts an .PFB font into ascii.
It can still be loaded into the printer. The format
is very similar, or almost identical, to the format
		  used by ghostscript.
decomp - Decomplies a decrypted font into human-readable
format. That format cannot be fed to a printer.
comp	- Compiles a decompiled font into ascii printer-
		  downloadable format again.

You should check out fixcomp.c for the accents the program knows.
There is a big row of statements in the makeaccents() routine. If you
want to add your own accents, you can easily figure out the system of
doing it.

The programs were developed for real use, but some of the accents are
so ugly, that we had to abandon everything.

There is no guarantee coming with these programs. They were not
developed with portability or flexibility in mind. They have not even
been finalized. I do no more development on these programs, so there
is no use asking for bugfixes.

The programs does not work on some fonts. In addition, a font created
by this program might blow up the postscript interpeter in the
printer without warning or error message. That is due to bugs in the
Adobe postscript interpreter. A font might also blow up the
interpreter in a clone postscript, also due to bugs.
