Hello net;
I am looking for some basic feed back before a fellow student and I
undertake an extended software project. Any and all responses are welcome.
In short, we are considering using the source for Ghostscript, to create
a source level debugger for Postscript code. One which is similar in feel to both
ups and xdbx with the addition of a graphical output window.
What we would like to know is:
1. Does such a debugger already exist? if so, what is it called and is it
free?
2. Is anyone else doing this?
3. Is there enough of a demand to make this project viable and worthwhile?
4. Lastly, if you like the idea and have any suggestions, what are they.
If there is significant interest, my friend and I will start to seriously
plan the project in the next week or two. Our tenative plans are simply to finish
the project by or before the end of the academic year.
Please respond privately.
Thanks in advance.
