No Zapf-Dingbats in my Apple LaserWriter IIf ?

(Sorry if .lang implies this is the wrong group, feel free to redirect
any follow-ups).

Using an Apple LaserWriter IIf, any attempts to print Dingbats result in
Courier. The power-up page says that the printer contains 35 fonts, and
therefore, I assumed, Zapf-Dingbats (ref comp.fonts FAQ).

Any ideas why I am not getting the correct font? Postscript test program
follows:
%%

0 0 translate 1 1 scale
%
/Zapf-Dingbats findfont 12 scalefont setfont
249 329 moveto
0 setgray

Try /ZapfDingbats, without the hyphen.

Many thanks to the people who responded to this question, the answer is that
Apple did not implement Dingbats in the IIf, but an emulation is provided on
the accompanying Mac disk.

Only one person said RTFM, but, unfortunately, I could not find the M to FR!

It is ZapfDingbats, not Zapf-Dingbats.

Yes, that was a typo in copying the extract from my PS program. The 'real'
program used ZapfDingbats, but did not work because this font is NOT built
in to the IIf, it is now shipped as a TrueType font on a Mac diskette.

My initial confusion came from trying to use a IInxt manual with a IIf
printer...

Thanks to the many more people who responded by E-mail. Several people sent
useful PS programs for listing the installed fonts etc.

There is no dash in the name of the font. It is ZapfDingbats.

You spelled it wrong. There's no hyphen. Just /ZapfDingbats will do it.

Neither the LaserWriter IIf nor the LaserWriter IIg contain Zapf
Dingbats built into ROM. True, the printers contain 35 fonts, but
one of the 35 is an ``EmulatorFont'', which replaced Zapf Dingbats
in the current incarnation of these printers. Note that the Users
Manual for the IIf and IIg categorically states that Zapf Dingbats
are a part of the resident font set, but a simple program to print
the list of resident fonts disproves this claim.

You have to download Dingbats, either ahead of time, or with the job.
