we have, on our network, a hewlett-packard IIIsi printer, which
has the ability to print on both sides of a piece of paper. this
works great and saves lots of trees and all, when we use multi-
page documents. HOWEVER, i am wondering if there is a way to
print TWO pages that are TWO documents on opposite sides of the
same piece of paper -- sorta like getting the printer to know to
wait for the next job and put that on the backside of what it
just printed.

i am posting to this group, because i am assuming(?) the (or, one
of the) solution might be printing both documents to disk (a
postscript file), combining the file into one, and then removing
(or adding?) some line of postscript code telling to keep on same
page. of course this is a miserable way to do it, so i am hoping
someone might have a better (if not automatic) way of doing it.

incidently, the documents are generated with canvas on a mac, so
if canvas has some sort of multi-page printing capability, could
someone please point me to this, and PLEASE no RTFM cuz if anyone
has seen the manual for canvas, they might guess most people dont
have that much time on their hands.... ha

thanks much.... email or post here -jon kca@engin.umich.edu
