I am having a problem with this setup. When I first turn on the PC and printer in the morning and try to print, I get an "add more memory" message on the HP IIIp LED display. I have 3 mb of memory on the printer and a HP Postscript cartridge. I turn off the printer, turn it back on and have no problems the rest of the day. WordPerfect LaserSupport Group could not help. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance. This has nothing to do with WordPerfect, period. That's why their support group didn't have an answer, no doubt. For some reason your printer is not detecting the presence of the 2 MB memory added to the IIIP. This happens more often with memory cards manufactured by companies other than Hewlett-Packard. Try removing and reseating the memory card a few times. The fit is very tight, and third-party cards designed for the IIP/III often don't seat all the way on a IIIP unless you are very forceful.\ -- _______________________________Mike Schuster________________________________ NY Pub.
