I've been banging my head against a wall lately with what I think is a
pretty simple problem, but I may be too thick to see the solution to.
Any help would really be appreciated:

I have a spooler program which downloads a prelude to a PS printer (level 1
PS assumed.) The prelude does an exitserver, defines some helper routines
in userdict to make printing ASCII easier and a rudimentary error handler,
and exits leaving the routines "permanently" in VM. This works fine for
all PS files except those generated on NeXTs using FrameMaker. They
abort with a dictfull error because they overflow the userdict capacity.
(I define about 3 dozen routines.)

I see 2 solutions to this problem:

	1. Ideally, I'd like to put all my routines into a spooler specific
dictionary, and leave userdict alone. Unfortunatelly, I can't
figure out how to push a dictionary onto the dict stack, and
have it stay there between jobs. Reinitializing the stack order
at the beginning of each job wouldn't work, because a program
can fool around with the dictionary order anyway.

	2. Extend the userdict capacity by the number of definitions I define
in my prelude. I can't figure out how to do this either. Can it
	   even be done?

Apologies if all this is too trivial for you wizards, and I hope it's not a
FAQ. Again any help would be appreciated, and you can send it directly to me. If
enough people express interest, I'll post a summary.

Thanks again.
