FAQ? Previewing on-screen at minimal cost.

Greetings from the void,

On my desk, I have a Gateway 2000 486/33MHz, with a CrystalScan 1024 NI
monitor, running DOS 5.0, with Windows 3.1. It's connected via a regular
old-fashioned async serial card to a VAX (i.e. no fancy networking... yet).

At home, I have an Amiga 3000/25Mhz running AmigaDOS 2.04 from disk. It's got
the 1950 MultiSynch monitor, and a 2400 baud modem.

I'm cheap. What can I get that will allow me to preview on-screen my
hand-written PostScript on either system, so that I don't become more of a
fire-hazard than I already am? How much would it cost in terms of $$$ and disk
space?

I'm a real PostScript novice. I'm playing around with the Blue book but that's
all I have at the moment. And I don't know diddly about Windows either. I've
seen stuff go flying by about GhostScript, and Display PostScript, but since
I am new at this, I'm not sure if those are the things I want to pursue, or if
I need gobs and gobs of other software in order to run either of these.

Thanx for any info.
