I'm sure this question has been posted to this news group
before, BUT....

Is it possible (by any degree) to determine the number of
pages in the PS file before it is sent to the printer ?

We have a QMS 1700 and it has been said that under our setup
(UNIX) this printer cannot report  the usage.
