simulating antique printers

My daughter has some beautiful educational programs (talking
programs from FIRST BYTE), but they are only configured for
two printers: IBM or EPSON (Proprinter or fx80??). I
wrote a transducer for one of them from stored files
to postscript, but I don't intend to dissect the
graphics file format of some of the others!

Is there a postscript wrapper which will cause
a postscript interpreter behave like one of these
printers INCLUDING GRAPHICS MODES? I guess there
would be problems with 7 bit interfaces.

Alternatively, are there printscreen/screendump
driver which generates postscript around?

Any pointers appreciated. Ramona thanks you in advance.
