I have a HPIIIsi attached to a Sun IPC and I need a good printer filter to manage the printer and to do printer accounting. We have psf3.5 and have found that it works fine when we send it ascii, but it always acts like it can't get status from the printer when we send it preformatted PostScript. My assistant has spent many hours working on this filter, but just cannot seem to get it to work correctly in our environment. Is anyone successfully using this filter to do accounting? Is there a better filter out there? Any pointers would be appreciated. -- Terry Hull - terry@eece.ksu.edu Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Kansas State University

You can find it on ftp.cs.uni-sb.de in /pub/postscript as lprps.tar.Z, but hopefully you also find it on a ftpserver nearby you.
