Here is my problem. I have a drawing on the macintosh done in Minicad+ which can output as an Adobe postscript file. (Basically print to a postscript file) I would like to read this file into Draft Choice for the IBM which can inport file types such as HPGL (most perfered) WPG, PCX and a few other formats. I tried to convert to WPG using GRAPHCNV.EXE which comes with WordPerfect. At first this did not work, until yesturday when I read something about the %%BoundingBox llx lly urx ury. The file created by the MAC had ? ? ? ? and when replaced by 5 5 105 105 the file was accepted and written as a WordPerfect graphics file. Unitl I read it into WordPerfect and did a file preview where the graphics said "Graphic contains data for postscript only". I have also tried Ghostscript, which can read the file with only minor font problems. But I have had trouble with Ghostscript, in that it is not very user friendly. Is there a way to output to an hpgl file using ghostscript and what would that command be? and does it work with MAC postscript files? The file consists of only lines and text. There is no "Fill" in the Minicad+ drawing. I have tried Alchemy1.6 but after reading the doc I find that Alchemy can not read in EPS files, only convert to them. I have tried GraphicWorkshop6.1 but that can only read in a TIFF image of the EPS file. (I am not 100% sure on what this is but I know it will not do what I want). Is there a program that can do what I want? Any enlightenment would be appreciated. Dave... Someone in our office just went through a process to end up with a PCX file. He used Ghostscript's pstoppm script and them pbmplus' ppmtopcx program with very good results. I believe he had to change the pstoppm from 72 dbi to 300 dpi. If you need more info, let me know and I'll track down the exact details. Best to email me with questions as I'll be out of town for a few days and posts may expire before I get back to them. ---Paul _______________________________________________________________ _________ Paul Halsema \\ AT&T: (407) 729-3536 | _ _ | Harris Corp., GASD \\ INTERNET: |_| |_| | | MS 102-4827 PO Box 94000 \\ phalsema@x102a.ess.harris.com |_/\/\/\|_| Melbourne, FL 32902 \\ | |_| |_| | _______________________________________________________________ |_________|
