Changing the Font Encoding
#5832

I have successfully written PostScript code to change the encoding of
a font vector to ISO-8859. However, the font metric files which I
have gotten from adobe.com seem to contain metrics only for the
"standard encoding". Does anyone know where/how I can obtain
font metrics for ISO-8859 encoding...

You don't say what format your metric files are. If they are standard
Adobe Font Metric (AFM) files then all the characters in the font will
have their font metrics following the "StartCharMetrics" tag. Any
"composed" characters metrics can be derived from the information
following the "StartComposites" tag.

If you're dealing with some extract format then ???
