Is there any way to translate a postscript file into a standard fax format ? I would like to transmit fax messages by using an internal fax/modem board on a msdos computer. Messages are composed in LaTeX, converted into postscript by dvips, and may include graphics (e.g., EPS files, via psfig or epsf packages). At present, the only way I figured out is to use ghostscript to translate the postscript file into PCX, which is one of the formats my fax software recognizes (others are TIFF and IMG, aparts form ASCII). I understand that ghostscript should be able to drive fax devices, but this feature seems to be lacked by the MSDOS version. Any hint is greatly appreciated. -- Paolo Ciampolini paolo@deis102.cineca.it University of Bologna Dept. of Electronics Phone: +39 (51) 644 3013 Fax: +39 (51) 644 3073
