Hi,
As the subject says, "Is there a PostScript Code Beautifier?" I would
like to be able to reformat computer generated code to make it more human
readable.
If there isn't one. Is there any standard way that people like to
fomat their code? I may wirte asimple one myself, if necessary.
Thanks,
Adrian

I may wirte asimple one myself, if necessary. I have been working on a set of code format recommendations, similar to the C style guide. I'm not done yet, but was hoping to be before the sources group got started. If there's interest, I'll post some drafts next week. As for code formatters, no, I haven't seen any, though I've heard there are some. If the code to be formatted is really bad, the formatter would almost need to be written in PostScript or possess big chunks of a PostScript interpreter. I'd be willing to try to give an alleged formatter a heart attack. :-) ab

Check the Adobe file server for ps format. It works great for most code. I've used it for years. It had one bug last I checked in handling long lines. David -- David Dantowitz david@cs.ucla.edu Singing Barbershop when I'm not doing parallel simulation

Gee, I always thought the standard answer was, "follow the style used in the Green Book." :-) >As for code formatters, no, I haven't seen any, though >I've heard there are some. Send mail to ps-file-server@adobe.com containing index Programs You'll find all sorts of goodies there. -=EPS=-
