If anyone has tried my pscover program, they might be interested in
the latest release. Here is the article I posted to the music groups.
The new version handles DAT format, as well as an interactive mode.

New versions of the CD database program 'albums' and the cassette cover
program 'pscover' are now available from the music ftp archives (cs.uwp.edu)
and gvl.unisys.com (in ~/pub/albums).

The albums program allows the user to set up a database of CDs (or
other formats), to search the database by artist, album title, or song
title, as well as determine what will fit on a cassette tape. After
the user has designed a new cassette from his or her collection, they
may output a file that can be used as input to pscover.

The pscover program will read an input file and produce cassette or
DAT covers in a variety of formats. It is easy to use but has
considerable versatility - designed for use by programmers and
non-programmers alike.

The albums program can be used with the CD database albs.zoo, which is
also available at the above sites.
