Hi
A quick question. I created a postscript document (1 A4 page) with showcase
on the SGI. This document is made of a series of A4 pages generated by
dvips and scaled down to 0.25% by pstops (with the bounding box edited
by hand to the correct value). Although the resulting file prints fine
in B&W (HP lj5) and is displayed in colour by GS without any complaints,
it fails to print on a colour laserjet 5M.
Could you recommend any good debugger/PS syntax checker, or even some kind
of script to fix this kind of problem.
The error message is:
ERROR: invalidaccess
OFFENDING COMMAND: put
STACK:
{--pop--}
/setpagedevice
-dictionary-
Cheers,
JC

It may not be what you are looking for, because your problem sounds very device specific - a debugger might not pick it up. But if you are interested in a commercial solution, check out the product PSAlter, which we sell. ---------------------------------------- Aandi Inston quite@dial.pipex.com Visit http://www.quite.com/ for info on PostScript, PSAlter, psalters, tea, and small furry animals.
