   Gentlepeople:

   I've been working on getting the Scheme 7.0 system running
   on a SparcStation.  The sources are from prep.  It builds
   a scheme image and mungs the binary files, but something is
   wrong either with microcode interpretation or with error
   handling (various things happen, mostly hanging after the
   "Type '^C`" message.)

   Some of my choices of parameters may be faulty, and I'm sure
   signal handling is faulty.  Presumably Scheme 7.0 runs *somewhere*
   on a SparcStation.  I would appreciate any pointers you have that
   may help.  Thanks!

I am running Cscheme release 7.0 beta on exactly the hardware and software
configuration described above.  I sent back diffs of my changes to generate the
Sun4 configuration to the system maintainers.  If you cannot get them from MIT
and they have not been incorporated into the latest release, I will try and
regenerate the diffs for them and you.
