I've got a sagem geoport adapter, and I'm very pleased with it using it
for surfing.
But I've got problems making a ARA connction with it to other ISDN-card
solutions.
An ARA connection between a geport and geoport works fine, a connection
between a geoport and an other planet solution works also fine. But I
I've almost tried everything to connect my sagem geoport to a Leonardo
PS with ARA and so far no good.
Ara makes a connection but comes with a error that the modems could not
communicate and the connection is terminated.
There is one other solution which should work but I'v not tried because
I'm not going to spend $800 extra to buy software to make an ARA
connection. This solution is 4-shight ISDM manager and with version
4.0.7 on both ISDN ends should work for ARA. ISDN manager recognizes
almost every ISDN solution (says 4-sight) and comes with it's own
drivers and ARA scripts.
So anybody familiar with this problem? Has someone tried to make a ARA
connection between a Sagem Geoport and an other ISDN solution besides
planet solutions?
The dealer I bought the Sagem from "Axio Systems, soest, the
netherlands" has no experience with ARA other than Geoport/Geoport and
Geoport/Planet. I called them last week there where 15 people in front
of me at the helpdesk, they asked if they could call me back, I said
yes, and it took them a week to call me back "ooh sorry about that,
we're so busy", And all they say was "sorry, we never tried that, we
cant help you any further".
"good support :-("

About the same response from me also, but ISDN connections are notoriously unreliable between cards/TAs made by differnet manufacturers. -- Steve Firth . Just because your doctor has a name for steve@firthcom.demon.co.uk . your condition doesn't mean he knows what Random sigs for Internet . it is. Config from sigFried 0.1a .
