I may try that solution with changing setgid to setegid just to see if it'll work, but I managed to find a way to get elm working on the E&S system this afternoon. While roaming through the directory structure, I noticed that /usr/ucb/mail had both the setuid and setgid permission bits on so I decided to do the same on elm to see if it fixed the problem. Lo and behold, it did. Thanks for the input everyone.
