Hello,

    I need help.  I am trying to reconfigure how mail gets handled on 
my system and I am having problems.

    The configuration of what I had working is:

	SCO Xenix 2.3.3
	ELM 2.3
	smail 2.5

	All mail was coming and going via UUCP.  Almost all of the mail
was sent to/from uunet.  I had smail configured so that any address
it did not know (it only knows about 3 sites that are local) about it 
would send off to uunet as the smart-host.

This worked great.  But, I now have a new machine that I need to send
mail to via TCP/IP.  I have loaded up the sendmail that comes with the
sco xenix tcp/ip run time.  I reconfigured ELM to use sendmail.  I have
this working to a point.  If I send mail to the single site that I am
connected with via TCP/IP that works.  If I send mail to a UUCP site
that is known, the mail goes out via uucp correctly.

    The problem is if I send a mail message to an unknown site, It ends
up in the sendmail mailq waiting to be sent to a site that it can not
reach.  I would like for it to go via UUCP to uunet and let them resolve 
the address ( as they have bee doing).   


How do I do this.  I have been going through the doc for sendmail, elm,
and smail, but I have not been able to get it to work right.  Any
ideas or sudgestions would help.
